My name is Andy (@EnginVIR) and I've been a fan of Big O since 2007. I want to say that I'm an authority on the subject--or at least that's a real goal of mine--but we all know that's not entirely true. I just care a lot--a LOT.

This journey all started with finding a lone Season 2, volume 1 DVD at a Dollar General in the Spring of 2007 and that shaking loose some old, cobwebbed memories of now ancient Toonami commercials for this cool new robot anime that looked just like Batman. I picked it up, watched it that day, and immediately fell in love (and I've seen it 9 times since as of 2019); I needed more. Thus began my lifelong pursuit to learn and to have as much as possible for the anime that would eventually become my favorite thing.

The Big O is special to me because of how unique it is, how it matches all I've tended to love since I was young: retro-futuristic neo-noir and heavy machinery with doleful blues and majestic atmosphere. It's adventurous and mature; crafted and sincere. Everything about it is unorthodox, both for its genre and its time--and I love the production that ultimately renders.

This website is here today as a testament to my pursuits and my decision to share all I know with those who care; there's a lot unsaid about Big O and I want to do my part to say what I can. My hope is that this website will be a battery of resources and leave all those who visit enriched and more knowledgeable about Big O than when they arrived.
